FINAL THOUGHTS

TIPS FOR PULLING IT ALL TOGETHER

When it comes to choosing outfits for your session, think soft, natural, and timeless. Start with one piece you love—a dress with movement, a cozy knit, or a textured neutral—and build from there. Aim for earthy tones and muted colors like oat, olive, taupe, rust, and cream. These tones photograph beautifully in natural light and help keep the focus on your connection rather than your clothing. Don’t stress about matching perfectly—coordinating tones and textures creates much more visual interest and harmony.

1. Start with moms dress, and finish with dads outfit

2.Look for different textures (knits, linen, muslin) and prints (stripes or floral). Don’t be scared to mix them all together *avoid everyone in prints, and avoid matching everyone too closely.

3. Add layers! Knit cardigans, knee high socks. Add in gold jewelry to complete your look.

4. Add neutral shoes. Browns and tan photograph best, with materials like leather or suede.

5. Avoid blues, pinks, and reds, and anything bright and colorful.

6. Brands to check out – Free People, H&M, Zara, Simple Folk, Indie Blue, Joy Folie, Reclamation, Rylee & Cru.
